My friend and I went in to R.J. Grunts on Saturday and had a great meal. There was a little wait, but nothing too much. We both had the salad bar and Fish & Chips. Great meal! Service was top notch and friendly. The only thing that got on my nerves was when I asked for more tartar sauce the waitress kept making an issue that I wanted an extra one. She kept asking, "is that enough?, do you want more?, do you want what's left over to go?' She was a good waitress, but it got annoying. Stop! I'll be back again, food was great.

I recently moved back to Chicago from school on the west coast and was delighted to find that Grunts hasn't changed at all. The food was still delicious, and the service was, as always, wonderful. Andrew, our waiter, was as helpful and charming as he was sexy. My girlfriends and I will be back to see him. It's about time Grunts hired a hottie for us ladies.

We were seated almost immediately by a friendly hostess.

While waiting for our orders to arrive, we noticed that the piped-in music was really nice (mostly 70's pop and soul). The room was bright with nice views of lincoln park if you were lucky enough to get a seat up front as we were able to. We arrived on a windy afternoon and the view of blowing leaves and people trying to outrun the wind was quite memorable.

My friend ordered Chicken Fajitas. Wow did the chefs get that order right! This was a meal that two persons could actually share. It was perfect.

However, I ordered a simple turkey club sandwich. The lettuce was clumped onto the sandwich and the homemade potato chips were obviously reheated in the microwave. They tasted like rubber.

Next time I'll order the mexican dish.
