Loved the salad bar

The salad bar had very unique offerings. I really enjoyed it. The sandwiches my party and I had were rather uninspired, but I will definitely come back for the salad bar. It was quite crowded were we were sitted, so it would probably be more enjoyable if it wasn't a busy Friday night.

My experience at Grunts was spectacular! I started off by selecting one of my favorite beers that they happen to have on tap. Next up was a great chicken quesadilla which was as good as any mexican restaurant in town. My main course was a Mr. Chicken sandwich with fries. I suggest a bowl of melted cheese on the side for the fries. A great meal over all with a very friendly staff. I will be dining there in the future.

Bottom line is-I am from Miami and there is NOTHING like this anywhere (including Miami Beach)! Whenever I return to Chicago I will certainly stop in for that famous green apple juice. Just delicious!!!!!

First of all, the minute you walk into any Lettuce restaurant you know you'll be in good company from start to finish. This restaurant was going to close its doors for good about 7 years ago and there was an uprising! Where are all these reviewers? Lines went around the block. I love the food there. The salad bar is the freshest! There are days you look on the salad bar and some ingredients come right from the farmers market. The Grunt burger is the BEST! Bleu Cheese and Fried Onions, ummmm! My wife loves tuna-fish and ordered the tuna melt. Wow. Three huge scoops of tuna served open face on english muffins. With Chedder and Swiss. Served with grunts famous potato chips made from scratch. Be sure and save room for a huge Cookie with ice-cream.

Where do I begin? The service, or lack thereof, was nothing less than horrible. Our party arrived and were promptly seated, the waitress took our order, and we NEVER received our food. We were given a number of ridiculous excuses like, "the chef is running a few minutes behind." Suffice it to say, I will never again step foot in that restauraunt. The staff seemed unconcerned.

I was never so disappointed in a restauarant. I read the review in the Redeye, and I decided to go there for brunch. This was the worst mistake that I made. The only good things in the salad bar were some dried cranberries and the greek salad. The potatoes were great. The bacon was beyond hard. The french toast had been drenched in something and was inedible. The rest of the items were terrible--you had only 8 choices of sides and the salad bar for 14.95. The soda was nothing but colored water with no flavor. It cost me 19.07. I felt like my stomach was going to cave in. I would only recommend this place to my worst enemy. I feel the owner should have paid me to eat there.

I don't get the fuss about this place. It's okay, but I think chain restaurants, like Chili's do a better job and certainly serve a better burger. And what's with the super expensive salad bar? The items it features are mediocre at best. At $11, it's the biggest rip-off on the menu.

Can't agree with the 4 star reviews. Food was just ok, they were out of wings at 8 pm, service was slow, wine was not worth the charge, chips are mostly soggy. This was our second visit, and confirmed out thoughts after the first time.

I fail to see the 4 star value everyone raves about. The food is only ok--burgers are somewhat dry, the chips they serve are soggy, when we went tonight at 8 they were on a "wing count"--only had 8 wings left. Wine was served in a juice glass. And the valet parking for $8 is only good for 2 hours--when you have to wait over an hour for a table, that's absurd. At least we were able to walk over to the zoo and enjoy the lights while we waited.
