Gold Coast Dogs
- 275 Old Orchard Center
- Skokie, IL 60077
- 847-674-4171
A place for Chicago-style hot dogs. What? You've never had one? Start with one all-beef Vienna hot dog in the natural casing. Then top it with mustard, pickle relish, onion, hot peppers, tomato, a pickle spear and celery salt. Serve in a poppyseed bun. They also have char red hots, char cheddar red hots, char burgers, char cheddar burgers, double char burgers, double char dogs, chili burgers, chili dogs, char chili dogs. Heck, think of just about any combination of a char, cheddar, chili, dog or burger and they have it, doubled. They have 1/3-pound and 2/3-pound burgers. Shakes, too: chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. There's also a "lighter side" sandwich menu with albacore tuna salad, char-broiled chicken breast and char-broiled swordfish. Hey, how'd this veggie burger get on the menu? This Gold Coast Dogs franchise is located in The Orchard food court at Old Orchard Center. (It's the building with the big red apple on top.) Once inside, look for the red, white and blue tiled walls and the Mr. and Mrs. Hot Dog sign. He's in his top hat and she's in pearls, all dolled up and steppin' out.
