What a rip off!

$60 + tip for 2 pre-fab burger's that had no flavor, 3 fries, 2 grilled cheese/ham, 3 cokes, and 3 beers. The Corona's were $11 total, which is no big deal....BUT $10 for a mediocre grilled cheese and ham sandwich!??? $10 for a pre-fabricated hamburger!?? Will never go back; will never recommend to anyone! And this was the LUNCH price!
Now I know why the prices aren't listed on the menu!

Grey burgers with no taste. On a doughy bun. Crinkle fries -- Ore Ida perhaps? Two orders, please, plus three Rocks. That'll be 30 bucks, including tip. I guess this is what passes for a 'great burger' on the North Shore. I'll take McDonald's any day -- better burger and much better fries for just a few bucks and I can live without the Rocks.

It is a small family run joint that has been in this family for a very long time, which makes it special. But don't expect the best service. Although, It is worth the drive for a mouth watering burger! I also am a big french fry fan and these are awesome too!

Must say I was looking forward to eating here after hearing so many wonderful reviews. However, my experience was so bad it made me think that I was in the wrong place. The cheeseburger was mediocre at best. The french fries were of your run-of-the-mill frozen variety. The service was chilly and unfriendly. I would never return, nor could I ever reccommend this place. With so many other choices to dine and drink on the same street, I am truly suprised that this establishment is still open.

My father Paul brought me to Charlie's in 60's and I have been eating there ever since my first cheeseburger deluxe. Best burger in the world!! Now I bring the family from Naperville just for the burgers. Dont forget the combo cocktail. Hello to John.

I've been going to Beinlich's for as long as I can remember. (I grew up in Highland Park, about 8 minutes from Beinlich's.) Hands down, this place has the best burgers I've ever had, and I've had a lot of burgers. I would recommend this tavern to anyone in an instant. It is registered as a tavern though, so you have to either be 21+ or with someone 21+ to go. You shouldn't miss it!

This place is simple, kind of like a Wisco Supper Club....and has the best consistent burgers on earth! They should of won top burger in Chicagoland from that Tribune article in 2005. Also, try the shrimp cocktail...amazing quality.
