This Wrigleyville hot dog stand with additional locations in Ravenswood and suburban Forest Park serves Chicago-style dogs piled high with condiments. Sizable Polish sausages, hamburgers and grilled chicken sandwiches are also available, and the fries, doled out in greasy brown paper bags, are some of the best around. (National food writer Alan Richman even gave them a shout out in GQ magazine in 2008.) With outdoor seating for about 30 under bright red-and-white umbrellas, this location makes a nice pre- or post-Cubs game destination.

Cute lil hot dog stand just west of Sheridan (Sheffield) on Irving, great food, cheap. Get the cheese fries.
