Beer can chicken? Seriously?
By chicagotarbender1884 from albany park, November 3, 2009

This place is quite average or even lower than average. I ate there last night with my family and I ordered the Beer can Chicken. All I can say is the mashed potatoes it comes with were awesome and the chicken was as dry as sand. The service was slow and unattentive. My mother had the ginger chicken and it was drowned in sauce that was way spicy. My father had a black n blue burger that came with a" blue cheese spread" How about some real crumbled blue cheese for $12. I will never be back and will not recomend this place to anyone.

I have no idea why anyone would eat here

This was without exaggeration the most bland food I have had in Chicago. There was just no taste. The mojitos tasted like they had used bottled mint and bottled lime, and there was no carbonation. We will definitely not be back.

Worst service of my entire life.
By marathonman1977 from Uptown, May 19, 2008

We had lunch service for 12 on Sunday and it was the worst service and food that I've ever experienced. Here's an overview: 11:30 AM - Group seated, appetizer and drink orders taken by waiter. 11:50 AM - Drinks served, when asked about placing the entree order, we were told that he was not our waiter. 12:00 PM - A diner from our party sought out a waiter to take our entree order. 12:10 PM - Entree order taken and appetizers served, more drinks were requested. 12:30 PM - We asked for a manager, we told her of the problems, she said she'd look into it. She came back and told us that the waiter that took our food order was now assigned to our table. 12:50 PM - Entrees were still not served, I sought out the same manager and asked about the food order, she told me that we were the "next ticket out." 1:00 PM - I sought out the manager again and asked to speak to her manager. Her manager told us that the host station sat us in a section that did not have waiters and that's why we had the service issues. 1:15 PM - When the waiter brought the check, i noticed that we were being charged a 18% gratuity due to our party size. Since we received such poor service, I asked the waiter to take the forced gratuity off of the bill. He argued with me and said "It's not my fault, it was the host station." I told him that I wanted to see the manager again. 1:20 PM - When the waiter did not return, I went to the host station to find our check and saw the waiter and the manager arguing over the bill. When we got the bill, the manager said she would offer us gift cards, but she knew that we could take that as an insult and assumed we were not planning on coming back to the restaurant. With regards to the food, the hamburgers were not properly cooked (one was requested as well and came out as medium, it needed to be sent back) and did not have any grilled flavor. Also, the New York Strip salad basically tasted like cold roast beef on a bed of lettuce.

Always packed for a reason
By Chicago Jay from Old Town Village, April 9, 2008

Overall rating:

You'll need to call in way ahead of time to get reservations on most nights. Without them, the wait is usually upwards of an hour. The reason the place is always packed is because it really is THAT good! We've tried pretty much every non-seafood dish on the menu, and everything is great except the chicken dishes. Poultry is really hard to do right on an open flame, and the times we've had it at Weber Grill, it's been tasty, but quite dry. Stick to the steaks, and you can't go wrong!

If you ever have any problems (hey - at a place that busy, it's bound to happen), just ask for Lloyd, the manager. He will make things right in a jiffy!

Good food, slow service
By gjersey from mount prospect, March 27, 2008

Despite a longer than expected wait for a table, an indifferent host, and a waiter who disappeared before taking our order, lunch at the Weber Grill restaurant was not entirely disappointing. Our vanishing waiter atoned for his absence with free soft drinks and frequent refills, and when the food finally arrived, the ample portions of tasty burgers and salads appeased even the hungriest in our party. This restaurant also offers one of the best kids’ meal bargains anywhere: big burger, fries, veggie with cheese sauce, fresh fruit salad and beverage for $5.95. Almost made me wish I were nine years old again. That being said, the attitude in front and frustrating service make me leery of a return visit.

Not all that
By bearswin75 from yorkville, March 16, 2008

I ordered the beer can chicken. The white meat was dry. Dark meat was ok. My girlfriend ordered a Wisconsin Burger. The burger was seemingly unnecessarily greasy. Then we ordered the Dutch Apple Pie. That was warm apples (the only good part) covered in gooey dough (I wouldn't call it crust). Been there, done that, won't go again.

Weber Awesome
By Daisy from rogers park, March 2, 2008

We had so much fun at Weber Grill!! Our service was fantastic and the staff was really friendly. We had steaks and they were perfect. The bone-in ribeye and filet mignon were tender and flavorful. My boyfriend had mushrooms on the ribeye(definitely recommended). They actually grill on charcoal weber grills! Also- try the grilled asparagus and BBQ shrimp app.
We will go back soon.

Weber Grill is an excelent restaurant to bring all of your friends and family. I have been to Weber Grill several times for a variety of different occasions. If you are trying to show someone the city it is great because the neighborhood is in a prime location. Trying to catch a good game on television Weber has televisions set up so you can see from a variety of different angles. If you like grilling THIS IS THE RESTAURANT FOR YOU.
