Do not waste you hard earned money at this poor excuse for fine dining. There are plenty of restaurants in Naperville that offer excellent food this is not one of them. Don't be drawn in by the novelty of the "Bison". I've had better tasting burgers at drive-thru's. A group of us recently picked at several of Teds meals. No one finished thier meal.We sampled -bison ribs-bison burger-beef prime rib-chicken sandwich. Mediocre service awful food. Dont do it.

My husband and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary here. I had read the bad reviews on here, so I was really nervous about going, but wanted to try it out anyway. Wow! It was amazing!
We had reservations at 5pm on a Saturday night. We showed up a bit early and were seated immediately. They seated us in a wonderful, private booth. Our server came within in a minute or two and got our drink orders, reviewed all the specials and explained the difference between bison and beef. She was upbeat and informative.
Refills were plentiful and on time. Our server checked on us often, but not TOO often.
The food was AMAZING! We had the grilled shrimp as an appetizer. Five gigantic shrimp, which were very tasty. I ordered the beef filet medium rare with garlic mashed and creamed spinach. The beef was more rare, but I actually like it like that. So tender, melted in my mouth. The garlic mashed were rustic and good. The creamed spinach was to die for!!! So good, though not lo-cal, I'm sure.
My husband had the bison strip done well, mashed potatoes and asparagus. I tried the bison and it is very lean, compared to beef. I prefer beef, but again, not as lo-cal and healthy as bison.
All food was fresh and hot, no cold entrees for us!
Our check was done correctly and all transactions were smooth and timely. We were in and out in a little over an hour, which was just right.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We went to this establishment on a Tuesday night kinda late. I went with a fellow co worker of mine and we both ordered the bison burger. The fries we got were cold and it took 10 min to get new ones. The service was way below average and this really turned us off from the restaurant. The burgers were quite good though. If you don't mind slow service this place is a good idea on a night where you cant think of a place to go!

The service was really bad. We had to call the manager over several time because of it. They took over 15 minutes to bring us water and menus. Then they took a long time to bring over steak knives after we were served our meal. When I asked the manager why the service was so bad (like if they were short staffed or something) he had no excuse. He said it was being dealt with but it never got better. He did comp our meal and asked us to give them another try but I am hesitant. I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes and I would not recommend it either. The sauce was too heavy and the potatoes had a strange flavor.

Pricey burgers with little taste. The patty was not shaped properly so the burger was over- and underdone. The service was slow even though it wasn't a busy lunch. My bun was toasted to the point that it cracked when I bit into it. Fries were lukewarm when they arrived. Good onion rings though. I did complain to the management and they promised a better experience. They offered for me to come as again as their guest. I told them I was never going back there..

While the food was fair, the service was poor. We are glad we tried the restaurant but do not plan on returning.

We have visited Ted's Montana Grill twice now and don't plan on returning. We like the menu however the salads which are very tasty are served on warm plates. This makes for a very wilty salad. It is not a coincidence, since it has been on every salad at our table both times we went. Next, our food was served just above room temperature both times. We like our food hot, and now with both experiences ending in receiving cold food, it's just not worth it to go back. After our first visit, I did call to inform the manager of the cold food. Our server didn't seem like there was anything they could do. Maybe they will get the kinks worked out in the future, however we will not be going again.

The buffalo meat here is awesome.. The service is the sacrafice you make to eat the good food. They are slow and not very knowledgeable about the food service industry. The mixed drinks are terrible. They are weak and poorly made consistantly so stick with beer or wine. Good food, poor service....you choose what you are willing to give and take

Too bad with such a promising menu, that this place was designed so poorly. It is a noisy, narrow, runway with tables. We went for lunch on a weekday, before it got too crowded. They forgot our order. We sat there for 30 minutes watching people come, and then get their food before anything was noticed. Food was OK, but overshadowed by poor ambiance and bad service.

On a Sunday evening my family went to Ted's for the first time with our 4year old. The service was slow, the only thing on the child's menu our son can eat was no longer available and my steak was extremely overcooked. The wine was overpriced and under poured. We will NEVER go back nor recommend this restaurant to any of our friends. I can't imagine that it will stay in business too long. Too over priced and poor service.
