WOW! This is the real deal. I have lived in Lincoln Park for 25 years. I have tried all of the rib options. This is head and shoulders above them all. The baby back ribs are chewy and tender at the same time. Perfectly cooked. The sauce is smoky and spicy, but not overwhelming. You can still taste the meat. I also ordered a side of the pulled pork. Outstanding too. We ordered for delivery, so I have never seen the restaurant, but Miguel who took my order was great. Next time we will eat at the restaurant.
Don't miss the SMOKE SHACK. This is a Chicago classic overnight.

We stopped by and tried the Baby Back and St Louis Ribs. Both were delicious, as were the beans, the onion rings, the mac and cheese and the cornbread. Very friendly service. We will definately be back.

The wood-fired smoker in this place puts out some really high quality BBQ. Being from KC, I have pretty high BBQ standards, and the Smoke Shack met the challenge. My St. Louis style ribs had nice charred crust and fall off the bone with a little tug, juicy, smoky meat inside. I had mac & cheese, baked beans, and slaw sides that were fine but the meat is where it's at.

I live close by this place and have wanted to try it for sometime now. All I have to say is that the St. Louis style ribs were the best ribs I've had in Chicago. The rub is spicy, so you've got to like the heat. But really meaty and almost no fat. I'll be going back!

Great BBQ, the brisket was juicy and had that great smokey/carmelized crust on it. Two types of sauces, spicy and regular, both good. The kicker were the onion rings, HUGE, freshly battered and perfectly cooked. Good addition to Lincoln Park, especially when you don't want to wait in line at Smoque for 45 minutes.

Drove from the burbs the other night. I heard about this place on Metromix and wanted to see if it was as good as Smoque. The pulled pok sandwich was moist and tasty. Brisket sandwich was OK, nothing special. The baby back ribs were great. They had a nice crust and were meaty. Very nice smoke taste to them. I didn't like the fact that they were stacked in the warming oven in tin foil waiting to be sold, but at 10 pm on a Saturday night I don't expect them right out of the smoker. Smoque is my favorite for brisket but Smoke Shack ribs are better.
I will return.

Decided to go here after seeing the video on this site.
A major let down.
The chorizo sausage sandwich taste like a soy burger.
The wings taste like they were soaked in vinegar.
And the ribs while tender have sauce that taste like chalk.

What a refreshing change from your typical fast food. Everything is home made with fresh ingredients. Portion sizes are large. A bunch of us shared several items and loved them all. My favorites were the pulled pork, mac & cheese, the "other" salad. definately will return.

Who would think that a Smoke Shack would have Veggie Chili but this one does. My girlfriend and I ate there. I orderd the veggie chili - it was great and was told they make it from scratch. Service was good and I like their smoke shack look!
