Fans of wood-smoked barbecue will love this spot. And so will fans of down-home soul food. Though it's not your usual cuisine combo, this family-run Humboldt Park restaurant makes it work. Walk in the front door and there's a steam table loaded with a selection of choices such as meatloaf, pot roast, dressing and greens (options rotate daily). Just beyond there's an aquarium-style smoker loaded with chicken and ribs. The challenge is deciding. (Rib tips and hot links ... or smothered pork chops and yams?) Good news if you're craving something other than the standard fries and white bread with your 'cue: A dinner combo option allows you to select two sides, such as mashed potatoes or mac 'n' cheese, with your meat. So who are P & P? The name's actually a nod to owner Patricia Ann Parker.
