They absolutely have the best ribs I've ever had. Every ounce is tender and edible - no fat! And the sauce is not too sweet. I tried a couple of other places in the past 6 weeks - one that's getting very high marks - and neither one even came close. I couldn't sleep last night thinking about the leftovers in the refrigerator, so I got up and ate them!

What a gem! I don't know what took us so long to finally come here, but we will definitely be back. From the time we walked in and met the hostess, had a beer in the bar while we waited and then being served by probably the hardest working waitress, we were hooked. It has such a comfortable atmosphere and the food was impeccable. Hands down the best ribs in Chicago! The steamed spinach (I'm craving it now!)and au gratin potatoes exceeded my expectations.

Gale Street is fantastic for ribs and has a great atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and I have always had excellent service. One disappointment is the recent changes to their menu, as they have removed vegetable options from some entrees and as side dishes. I won't be going as much as I used to, but it's still hard to beat the ribs.

Before marrying, my husand and I spent every Friday at Gale Street and we love it. It's not a flashy place, it doesn't need to be with ribs like that! If you want good food, good conversation and good service I recommend it. Be sure to say "hi" to Victor at the bar!

We came there when we lived in Chicago a couple times a year and we made it a point to stop by while on vacation last week. Once again, we absolutely LOVED it. Great food, excellent value, very good kid's menu items. And for the record, we did go to Gibson's during the same trip and paid DOUBLE what we paid at Gale Street. Make the drive to Gale Street Inn, it's worth it.

I've been coming here since I was a kid, and I simply LOVE this place! The ribs are amazing, the best I've ever had ever, and the sides are terrific. Other family members have had other dishes - steak, fish, pork chops - and all was devoured with the exception of a pasta entree (once).

The service is excellent - the waiters are attentive, don't rush you, and bring the food out at a good pace.

Carryout is excellent too, they wrap everything very nicely so meals don't get cold. This super accomodating place even let me order in on New Year's at 6:00pm and had it ready shortly after I called!

Hands down, this is my favorite place in Chicago to eat.
