Cyrano's Cafe & Wine Bar on the Riverwalk

This dog-friendly, seasonal cafe on the Chicago River, a sister spot to Cyrano's Bistrot and Wine Bar in River North, offers an abbreviated French menu of standard bistro dishes such as nicoise salad, quiche Lorraine, steak frites and homemade pates. There's also an ice cream shop and crepe stand. Though the setup is seasonal (seating is entirely outdoors and restrooms are Port-O-Potty-style), chef-owner Didier Durand designed the kitchen and bar area to resemble artist Claude Monet’s home in Giverny, France, with plenty of flowers and a summery pink and green color scheme.

"Lovely spot along the river"
By jmccavitt from Ukrainian Village, July 29, 2009
Went for lunch today and sat at a table under the trees next to the river. It is off the beaten path, so a great place to enjoy the weather and sky...
