Visited Phoebe's Cupcakes for the first time today. The counter staff was friendly and helpful. I bought a variety: red velvet, tuxedo and vanilla. They were a big hit with my guests.

Visited the shop and LOVED IT! I don't know what the other reviewers were trying but these were the best cupcakes...perfectly smooth and delicious. I think this shop will be around for many years to come. I tried about 6 cupcakes...Loved everyone of them. I have been to another local cupcake shop (wont mention names here though) and it was NO where near the greatness of Phoebe's! Thank you and I will be back!!!!

I went to Phoebe's yesterday, about 30 minutes before closing, and I was envisioning a scarce picking of cupcakes but was pleasantly surprised by the amount of cupcakes they still had left. The service was great, the guy helping us was very nice.
I got the Tuxedo (vanilla cake and chocolate icing), Red Velvet, Funfetti, Very Vanilla, Smores and Salted Carmel. The red velvet icing wasn't as rich as some of the other cupcakes places. However, the Tuxedo cupcake was one of the best vanilla cake and chocolate icing I have had. The chocolate icing was perfect, not bittersweet. The other cupcakes were good, but still not as good as my favorite cupcake place. (I won't mention it here, but you can find it on my cupcake crazy playlist!)

Great concept, nice decor and lovely people but it doesn't live up to the gourmet title. Cake was under baked and the frosting tasted cheap.

just your average cupcake. a bit dry, and not the gourmet feeling I was hoping for.

I just ate my tiramisu cupcake from Phoebe's, and I was a little disappointed. The cupcake itself was dense and dry, and the frosting was too cream cheesy for my taste. However, the place was cute and clean, the server was pleasant, and the price was reasonable ($2.76 including tax). I'd give it another try since I live in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way.

I was so unimpressed by Phoebe's Cupcakes. I live in the neighborhood, and was so excited to try them, after reading all the hype about their chefs. However, the "buttercream" icing was so bland and tasteless, I would compare it to Cool Whip. The actual cake was only about 2 bites. I LOVE cupcakes, but I will not go back. Sweet Mandy B's is far more superior!!

My husband and I visited Phoebe's cupcakes on May 1, 2009. The shop had officially been open one day. The atmosphere was light and uplifting. My salted carmel cupcake was quite delicious, and very light in texture. Phoebe was very friendly and outgoing.
All in all, we had a very nice experience, and we hope that the cupcake shop is a success.
