A stand at the Green City Market in its early days, this popular bakery (still a Green City staple) will soon offer salads, sandwiches and baked goods incorporating local, sustainable ingredients at this new Lincoln Park location. It’s set to open in late February, when the current Logan Square outpost, which is mostly a commercial operation, will close. The new menu will include sandwiches made with seasonal ingredients and served on fresh-baked rustic French bread, sandwich loaves and artisanal breads. Classic Floriole offerings such as galettes, tea cakes, clafoutis, eclairs, scones and cookies will be available too, as well as a few new additions. The biggest change? According to owner Sandra Holl, Floriole will incorporate more chocolate into creations, something that hasn’t been possible in the past.
