Delightful Pastries

This Old Town offshoot of Jefferson Park European bakery Delightful Patries offers traditional baked goods along with more upscale pastries of French and central European origin. Owner Dobra Bielinski tells us the idea is to offer a more sophisticated selection of cakes, breads and pastries here than in Jeff Park, while still maintaining a cozy, inviting atmosphere. In addition to baked goods, look for an extended menu of cafe items such as soups, salads and sandwiches. Egg dishes such as quiche and frittatas as well as parfaits, breakfast perogis and warms breads are in the works for breakfast. The space, reminiscent of a classic European cafe with natural touches such as salvaged wood and live plants, offers plenty of seating should you want to linger over a Swiss espresso drink or cup of American coffee.
