I paid $10+ for a disgusting sandwich that I threw away after a few bites (it was a take-out order). The meat was cheap and thickly sliced, which made it taste like plastic. The bread (was supposed to be a bagel) tasted old and was covered in a half-inch thick layer of cream cheese. I will never eat from this place again and I live in the neighborhood!

I am your typical Jewish male living in the city. I have taken my family to this restaurant, as well as many out of town guests and after my most recent experience I will have to find a new place to get lox from. I had my lox platter delivered and received the poorest quality bagel ever. When I called to ask them to send a new one (yes, I didn't ask for anything else) I was hung up on not once, but 2 times by the owner and had to call the Skokie location to talk to the wife to fix things. I would not reccommend anyone risk getting as poor of service as I got.

it ain't cheap, but this is the closest thing to an authentic jewish deli I've found here (I grew up near the east coast). Easily the best sandwiches in the city!

Always happy with my meals at the Bagel and never leave hungry. Great m-ball soup, deli sandwhiches and omelettes. My guests like the egg/potato/tuna salad. Prices are fair, atmosphere, well, it's a diner, what do you expect?? I am always a very satisfied customer.
