WE LOVE the BierStube! We have taken my parents (who lived in Germany and said it was very authentic and brought back memories) and some friends! The helpings are HUGE and can easily be shared, at for the price, you just may want to! The beers are great and so was the entertainment!

Me and my husband and daughter ordered a kids cheeseburger which includes a pop, a slab of ribs, and a chicken spatsul, and 2 pops we were charged 14 dollars for 3 pops usually refills are free the dish of german poptaoto salad was so small and the total came to 63.00 dollars i thought it was outragous for what we ordered.

A cold Saturday night, and we were greeted with a warm smile upon entering Chef Klaus' Peotone Bier Stube. Servers clad in traditional drindl showed us to our seats. The bar/smoking area was really alive. The live entertainment was fantastic. I didn't catch his name but his partner's name was Helmut. One man with an accordion, and the other with a pogostick style all in one beat keeper kept the crowd alive as the steins never seemed to empty. The Rouladen of Beef was supurb, along with the Beef Stroganhoff, and Liver Dumpling Soup. Though very tight, and small the fit was for everyone; it was a wonderful experience. The German hunting lodge style decor really made this place a charmer, along with the smiles and excellent cuisine.

Food is awesome. Had the Jager Schnitzel-really good.
Ask if they have the maibock beer (didn't get the brand, din't care after 2 of them), quite possibly the best beer I've ever had (and I've had MANY different beers in my life).
Well worth the trip!

I was extremely disappointed with the taste and appearance of the food. The non-smoking room wreaked of tobacco odor and was too small.
Flys kept sitting on top of our food, disgusting us.
The prices were too high considering the bad taste of the food. My husband and I won't be back.

Although somewhat pricey, this is THE best German food in the Tri-State area!! After trying out other places in Chicago and Milwaukee, the food here beats them all hands down. Highly recommend it for both the food and atmosphere. Plus the portions are big enough that you can eat left-overs for two more meals.

I visited the Bier Stube on a field trip for my German class. At the time, I hadn't thought it would be anything special, but I was later pleasantly surprised. The food was prima (great), the service was very good, and the atmosphere was very genuinely German. You really get a feel of how one of the hofbrauhaus (sorry about the spelling) of Germany might be like. The food is going to cost you more than a Burger King value meal, but for the experience alone it is worth it.

Everything is very good from the crab cakes and schnitzel to the service and atmosphere. Beers a plenty and Barenjaeger make the libations truly warm and cozy. But most importantly, I wanted to let people know it is open again in Peotone, Illinois. Traditional German band is a must see on the weekends. Check information for phone numbers.
