Better than '03

Overall rating:

Truman Compote, if that's his real name, was correct in stating that Fritzl's wasn't very good in the early 2000's. I'm happy to report that the Deutsches Essen spot is much improved and the food and service is back to superior levels. We'll be back!

I have been to Fritzl's a number of times and have always enjoyed my food. The service is also nice, and the restaurant is well kept. My only issue (albeit a small one) is with the ambiance--it is dreadfully quiet. Some music would help. Anyway, it never gets in the way of a great meal--potato pancake appetizers, garlic suasage, and great schnitzels.

Outstanding atmosphere. Wonderful wait staff. Had a delicious roast duck, accompaniied with a great tasting red cabbage. Would deffinatley go back.

A mere shadow of its former self. Fix the sauerkraut by opening a can? Forget it, and forget this place. An abysmal failure.
