I literally come here every couple weeks. They have nearly all major German beers fresh off the tap served in quarter, half, and whole liter German mugs. The food is amazing. I recommend the bratwurst, pork loin, and their famous 3-lb pork shank. All the wait staff is dressed in German attire always friendly and helpful. If you come on Friday or Saturday nights they have a live German "um-pa" band. It doesn't get any more German than here.

Went for Easter with a total of 13 people. In the end everything sucked. All was over cooked and was as dry as the turkey on christmas vacation with chevy chase. I will never go back again. Stay away from this hole of a joint!!!!!

During a recent visit we found the following: stale bread, flat beer, and service that was nothing less than confrontational. Our surly waitress refused to honor the most basic requests for service and acted as if we were a nuisance. When we informed the management of our problems, we were told not to come back. Our group was actually looking forward to this place and it turned out to be a truly awful experience.

This is one of the best German restaurants that I have been to. It took me back to when I was in Germany, with its great tasting beer and food. In my opinion the Hähnchen Schnitzel and Rindsrouladen were big and delicious. The beer sizes were unreal and if you are not happy with this food, drink, and its service, then you know nothing about good German food.

Very warm and cozy with festive Christmas decorations every where. We were there for lunch and shared the potato pancakes which were almost too much food as an appetizer for two people but possiby my favorite part of the meal. The sauerbraten could be cut with the side of my fork it was so tender and the stuffed porkchop with apples and andouille sausage was also quite good. I loved the creamed spinach that came with that dish.

Love this place. We don't go nearly as often as we would like. The special menus during the Fall/Winter months are the best. Recommend the pork shank and the Johannasberg dishes. Liver soup is wonderful as are the beers.

Huuuuge portions of hearty (and good) German food. My 3-pound pork shank must have been closer to 4 pounds. The crispy skin was ridiculously delicious and the meat was succulent. My friend's stuffed pork loin was a bit dry, but everything else was great. The staff was extremely friendly...we left feeling like family even tough it was our first visit. Great beers on tap, including my fave Stella Artois (OK, I know it's not German).
