My g/f and I tried this after reading all of the reviews. This place was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! I have eaten at countless sushi restaurants all over and the city and this was by far the worst sushi I have ever had. First off the menu sucks. Second of all the signature rolls are a RIP OFF! $14-$18 for signature rolls and they were not very big. The quality of the food was poor as well. We had four rolls and even the California roll was not very good. I would have rather eaten at McDonalds! You could not pay me to go back here. Overpriced garbage. So disappointed. DO NOT waste your time and money. Go somewhere else! And beware that you cannot find their menu anywhere online!

A restaurant that you can't even find in the city!!

i think the comment below is mistaken the restaurant SUSHI AI(located in Euclid Ave. in Palatine) for AI Sushi(located in W. Ontario in Chicago) i have eaten at SUSHI AI for almost 4 months but to describe this restaurant i could only say one word; AMAZING.
The menu is so long that i can't choose what to eat ad the atmosphere in this restaurant is astonishing. The music is not JAZZ its different variety of songs that is uptempo.
Anyone that goes to this restaurant should definitley try the Shiro Ahi Caparccio. it is on the sushi bar appetizer. and for the rolls you should try the Rainbow Dragon absolute tongue melter. dessert don't even get me started. Tripple Mousse is your selection.
in my experience this is the one restaurant that you CANNOT miss out.

Ai Sushi-terrible

We are huge fans of sushi and eat sushi out about 4 times a month. The sushi was tasteless and bland here. The menu has very little to chose from especially from the maki chef's specialty rolls. Then again, I should not be surpirised since this restaurant has been three other sushi restaurants before these owners took over. The music is horrible. It was a friday night and they were blasting loud jazz music in the dining room. Kinda strange to be playing Jazz in a sushi restaurant.

A piquent taste at Sushi Ai

When i entered Sushi Ai, i was enthralled by its appearance. The modern look had an air of relaxation and the food was impeccable. I had no idea I had stumbled upon such a hot spot for good food; hidden away in the suburbs in a strip mall. I had food that is not offered or prepared as well as any other i have been to. I very recommend this Sushi Ai.

I've tried sushi ai last week and it was better than japonia. The manager was very freindly and informative and funny, she made it very enjoyable evening. I will let all my freinds know about sushi ai

Awesome Restaurant!

Sushi Ai has incredible sushi with a great selection on their menu. They have excellent service and the atmosphere is amazing. The price is wonderful for sushi and the music is very relaxing. They have wonderful appetizers and their signature rolls are exquisite. I particularly enjoyed their Special Spicy Tuna Roll and Dirty Old Man Roll. Everyone should check it out!
