Lips Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar

For better or worse, this Southport Corridor Asian spot really plays up its name in the decor—look for a pink and lipstick red color scheme, as well as wallpaper printed with lips. The menu tackles French-Asian fusion, with an emphasis on Japanese flavors. Specialties include rack of lamb with soy demi-glace and Chilean sea bass with spicy garlic cream sauce. The small sushi bar turns out classic maki and specialty creations, including the popular strawberry roll (white tuna, Japanese pickle and tempura crunch layered with spicy tuna and strawberry slices).
