I just got takeout from bok choy. Heard about the Honey Walnut Shrimp & had to try it. It was very good: the shimp were large, not too greasy, and the glaze was not too sweet. Tried the Godzilla roll as well. I don't know if it was because I ordered just before closing time & the sushi chef was just ready to leave, but that roll was a mistake: the rice was mushy & there were large globs of wasabi in the roll. Would come back here for the chinese, but would thing twice about ordering sushi.

The first sushi bar in Bolingbrook is a welcome addition and to make it even better, they also serve Chinese food for those of us who have non-sushi loving spouses. The fish is always crisp and fresh and there are a variety of rolls and sushi choices from the less daring california-type rolls to the Bolingbrook maki that has a little of everything. Their combo dinner sushi platter includes a little of everything including my favorite, unagi, which I have never seen on a combo plate before.
Bok Choy also offers Chinese food which means my husband is more willing to agree to my sushi fix since he can order a variety of Americanized Chinese foods from Bok Choys expansive Asian menu. I have also carried out from Bok Choy and have been very pleased and have not found the food greasy at all. I did have one bad order of crab rangoon that tasted like it had been fried in old oil but that has been the exception to the rule of the many orders of crab rangoon that we have enjoyed both inside the restaurant and for carryout.
I am thrilled to have a sushi bar in my neighborhood to quell my need for sushi and I have also found a location for carryout Chinese food all in the same location.

great marketing!!!! but I dont think anybody really thought about the food and health. i do understand, that chinese food is not one of the healthiest foods, but I have been in the bussiness for 2 years and know, that it is possible, to cook with less oil and still retain the great tast. this is by far the greasiest chinese food I ever had in my life. I just feel like I drunk a bottle of oil. disgusting. and even for the sushi roll... I wish I tasted some sushi, all I tasted was oil. yuck...

I have tried several places in town and Bok Choy is in my opinion, the best by far! "Honey Walnut Shrimp" and their sushi are all yummy! Great overall place to eat at.
