Deleece Grill Pub

Butterfly Sushi Bar & Thai Cuisine on Chicago
The folks who brought you Butterfly Sushi Bar & Thai Cuisine have opened a second location of their popular BYOB in West Town. The menu is nearly identical to the Grand Avenue outpost, with a la carte sushi, maki and a lineup of Thai and Japanese fare.

Province
Randy Zweiban, most recently the executive chef at Nacional 27, has gone solo with a contemporary American menu that takes inspiration from Spain and South America. Read our First Look.

The Sit Down Cafe & Sushi Bar
Soups, salads, sandwiches and pizza share the bill with sushi at this cheery Hyde Park spot from an owner with ties to the Hyde Park Produce Market. 

Steve’s Deli
The original Steve’s has been chopping chicken livers in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., since 1994, but Detroit natives don't have to make the trek back to the Motor City to get a pastrami fix now that this kosher-style deli has opened in River North.

Berry Chill
Chicago’s answer to Pinkberry, offering 100-percent fat-free frozen yogurt made with lactose-free milk, has opened a third location in the Ogilvie Transportation Center. Look for additional outposts in the Merchandise Mart and Lakeview before the end of 2008.

The Publican
Paul Kahan and Eduard Seitan (Blackbird, Avec), Donnie Madia (Blackbird, Avec, Sonotheque) and Terry Alexander (Sonotheque, Violet Hour, Mia Francesca) are behind this highly anticipated restaurant in the Warehouse District where suds (100-plus bottled beers plus a dozen on tap) are paired with an eclectic menu highlighting sustainable seafood and heirloom pork.
