Wildfire: User Reviews
And why is the white wine warm?? We enjoy great food here, but service is very uneven. Long waits to place drink and food order. Wait staff disappear. We ordered a bottle of white wine, and the bottle was brought to the table 15 minutes later, half way through the salad course...and it was not even chilled. Set the entire meal's tone for an average (at best) experience. The place is crowded, noisy, and is falling down in our ranking. Yes, the food is delicious.

Been there at least 20 times. only place that the steaks are consistently great. Ribs and skirt steak are fantastic. Very good amosphere and wait staff is ready to serve. Only problem is the wait if you don't have reservation.

Filet Mignon A+; Spit-Roasted Herb Chicken A+; Be sure to try the redskin mashed potatoes! I recommend making a reservation on weekends or with larger parties!

What you'd expect from a Lettuce restaurant as fare as food, atmosphere and service go. Take heed: They don't permit you to bring your own wine, even if you are willing to pay a corkage fee. So if you don't like being gouged, or you have a special bottle of your own that you'd like to open, go somewhere else.
Report This ReviewBy far, one of the best steakhouses in the suburbs. The steak trio which allows you to try 3 of the signature crusts is an excellent entree and was a great recommendation by our server, Teresa. She was wonderful, funny and patient, answering all our questions even though it was quite busy. We waited less than what the hostess quoted, and it gave our party a chance to sample the unique martini choices. The atmosphere was perfect for our special occasion and the food, service and martinis made for a great night. We will definitely be back !
Report This ReviewAbsolutely the best steakhouse not in Chicago. Definitely on par with Smith & Wollensky's in terms of both food and service, but at a much better price. So long Jimmy's Charhouse, I have a new favorite restaurant.
Report This ReviewYou will know right away that your in a lettuce entertainment place. That's alright because the food here is outstanding. One of the best steak places in the north suburbs. Can be crowded, but that's the way that they must want it. It could stand to be a little less crowded because it takes away from a nice evening when you have to try to push your way to and from the bar. But the food and service are worth it
Report This ReviewThe top-rate quality of the steaks and the decor and service in general are well-documented in other reviews; let me take an opportunity to compliment Wildfire on its excellent wine list and wine service. On our dinner visit September 27, our waitress was an enthusiastic and highly informed advocate for that list and it was a pure pleasure dining with her. In fact, this was some of the best wine service -- from assistance in the selection (the Kuleto Estates Cab, an excellent bottle) to the presentation of the wine and friendly and informed dialogue -- that I've experienced from any server in any restaurant working without a wine steward at the table. Kudos to our server, "Ann B." and to the management that recognizes the value added by such expert and friendly service.
