This seasonal spot offers casual fare within the remarkably lush and peaceful setting of Jackson Harbor. The restaurant's mid-priced, Creole-and-Caribbean-inflected menu includes pan-fried catfish with jalapeno corn cakes, and jerk chicken breast with sauteed collard greens and plantain chips. A sandwich lineup lists spicy catfish, lemon chicken and hamburgers and veggie burgers. Located in former Coast Guard housing, its art-filled dining room maintains a warm, homey feel. Upstairs is an intimate lounge with a small bar and plush furniture. Downstairs, an old boat garage with richly colored wood-paneled walls has been converted into a spacious dining area with a raised stage to host live music on the weekends. Fifteen-foot doors open directly onto the water, providing a calming view of the docked sailboats. A distant view of the downtown skyline may be your only reminder of the hustle and bustle of the city.
