The Tailgate

It shares space with U.S. Beer Company, but this casual, sporty barbecue spot is an independent restaurant. Though you can enter through the bar, there’s also a separate entrance off Clybourn Avenue. The football-themed menu, inspired by Solder Field’s tailgate scene, celebrates manly charbroiled grub. Specialties include barbecue ribs and rotisserie chicken, all served with a hearty lineup of sides. There’s also more traditional bar food, including burgers, sandwiches, pastas and crowd-pleasers such as wings, chicken tenders and kosher dogs. You’re welcome to bring beers over from the adjacent bar; in fact, it’s practically required if you plan to camp out for a while and watch the game.
