Set in an old factory building about a half-block east of Harpo Studios in the West Loop, this spacious spot serves breakfast and lunch classics straight up or with a twist. The menu features everything from a crab cakes Benedict to white chocolate-raspberry pancakes to a prime rib sandwich. You also can go the healthy route with egg beaters or egg whites, low-fat cheeses and wheat germ pancakes. If you need a pick-me-up, don't miss specialty coffees like the cafe Vienna, a double-shot of espresso with vanilla and cinnamon syrup, steamed milk, and whipped cream and cinnamon on top. The hip renovated space boasts 20-foot ceilings with exposed brick, hardwood floors and a 15-foot stainless steel bar, which turns out a variety of brunch cocktails. The walls are covered with works by local artists, which are also for sale.
