Who are Hub 51 owners R.J. and Jerrod Melman, and why should you care, you ask? Well, they’re the sons of Richard Melman, founder and chairman of the board of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, whose restaurant portfolio runs the gamut from high-end L20 to fast-food fave Wow Bao. At the younger Melmans' American spot in River North, look for an "urban and industrial space" and a broad menu covering everything from seafood and sushi to tacos and burgers. After dinner, head downstairs to Sub 51, a table reservations-only, DJ-fueled lounge space.
