Owned by three sisters who were raised in North Center (their father owned the Filipino bakery that once occupied the space), this art-focused cafe serves only espresso-based drinks. Drip coffee, they say, just doesn't cut it. The bev lineup includes straight-up espresso shots, Americanos and a variety of lattes made from a five-bean blend that's roasted just for the shop. Crepes, sandwiches and egg casseroles make up the rest of the menu. Order at the counter, then choose a seat in the tiny dining room where works from local artists are displayed on a rotating basis. You'll also find six tables in the rear garden patio, a nice refuge from the busy nearby Damen Avenue/Lincoln Avenue /Irving Park Road intersection.
