Conveniently located steps from the Damen Brown Line “L” stop and just a few blocks from the Metra, this little Ravenswood deli and gourmet grocery is an easy answer to the question, “What’s for dinner?” Choose from a brief lineup of about five sandwiches and five salads, all made to order, as well as a daily selection of soups. Favorites include the turkey jack sandwich (sliced turkey, jack cheese, cucumbers, red onions, lettuce and raspberry jam on ciabatta) and the Asian salad (shredded cabbage and carrots, cucumbers, pickled ginger and citrus-soy vinaigrette). The shop also stocks imported meats and cheeses, smoked salmon, pate and other gourmet foodstuffs such as pastas, mustards, honey and olive oils. Soon, you’ll be able to pick up wine and beer here too. A liquor license is currently pending.
