This family-run and family-friendly Avondale cafe, which uses all organic ingredients (including coffee, which comes from fair trade co-op Equal Exchange), specializes in breakfast and lunch. Choose from a selection of pancakes and omelets or go for the filling Guatemalan plato tipico (two free range eggs, refried black beans, plantain, avocado, queso fresco, red sauce, sour cream and tortillas); lunch selctions include sandwiches and house-made soups. Dinner is served Friday and Saturdays only, with a small menu that still somehow manages to offer everything from shrimp scampi to churasco to fajitas. A kids menu includes a full meal—plus a juice box—for less than $4.

WOW.. cute cafe in residential neighborhood. very well priced, excellent service and really really good food. Gonna try their lunch menu next
