One of about a half dozen seasonal concessions located below street level along the Chicago Riverwalk, this no-frills cafe serves affordable eats just feet from the water. Enter from Clark or LaSalle Street on the south side of the river. Once you descend the stairs, look for the green trailer surrounded by about a dozen wrought iron, umbrella-topped tables. The menu focuses on light lunch fare and snacks, including panini, quesadillas, Chicago-style dogs (of course), sweet crepes and iced coffee. As at all Riverwalk venues, plastic tableware is the norm, and opening hours can be hit or miss. Precipitation is the determining factor, so don't show up on a dreary day expecting hot dogs.
