Untitled, or the Picasso

Back in 1967 many people were skeptical of Pablo Picasso's abstract design and nontraditional materials. But this work has since become synonymous with the city of Chicago, and led the way for many other sculptures to be placed in and near the Loop. The three-dimensional planar design suggests the head of a woman--or maybe a cow, bird or dog. The 50-foot structure in Daley Plaza is made of Cor-Ten steel.
