I love the Hideout!!! They always have all kinds of interesting events, like mini film festivals, dance parties, and musical acts. The location is interesting and there's always a place to park. The staff are more than nice and approachable. I can't recommend this place enough!!!

The Hideout is exactly what...

The Hideout is exactly what it says; somewhere off the beaten path that for all intents and purposes shouldn't even exist, and therefore most people will never know it does.
What I really like about this place is the feeling every single night that you've just stepped into a secret party with all the people you wanted to see and none of the white caps and attitude from the usual "there's this hip new bar" crowd. Because let's face it: this place isn't somewhere anybody goes while just barhopping, it's beautiful inside--with all the old furnishings and setup-- which brings me to the point that it's not "hot" because it's not new, it's well over 70 years old.
Highly recommended.

This place is great! It has everything you want in a good dive bar: Great service, good prices, friendly people, live music ... and functioning bathrooms. What more could you ask for?
I've been there several times, and it's a great place to go because you can have drinks, hear a little music, and still hold a conversation with your friends.
And even though it's hidden, cabbies know where it is, so it's easy to cab in & cab out.
This place is great!

Best atmosphere of any bar I've ever been to, hands down. Warm, cozy, inviting, cheap beer, great music. One complaint--trying to charge people a cover if they're not going in the back to see the band but want to stay up front and drink at the bar? Not cool.

Super cool place! The gum ball machine with the ear plugs in it is the best. The music wasn't that loud, though. Have fun!
