The Record Mart has by far the best selection of Jazz and Blues albums I have ever seen. If you like Jazz music and are visiting Chicago, you need to check this place out. I have always found the staff to be helpful and more than willing to make recommendations.

Disappointed in the Customer Service

"I went into the store about a week before Christmas to search for a Jazz CD I heard in Mexico. To be fair, I did walk in after the store closed at 8:00pm. I was willing to just find out if they had the CD and would have come back. They weren't willing to even do that and were short and terse with me. They did all but ask me to leave. This is fine. I won't be back and will be quick to recommend any other place possible to friends searching for Jazz CD's. I ended up buying the CD online through another company. I have read other reviews for this establishment that were positive, but seemed to stress the size and diversity of the selection above all else. That is a fact and it is also the store's bread and butter - but to be honest, it sure isn't the customer service."
