Bill's Blues Bar

- Price range: $ (Under $9)
Bill Gilmore knows something about blues clubs. He's owned eight over the years, including five in Chicago. So when he moved to Evanston a few years ago, he set out to do what he knows best. There's a small sandwich menu and a full bar, but the focus here is the music, with live acts seven days a week. While blues is the highlight, Bill's also hosts rock, jazz and folk performances. There's a $10 cover on weekends for marquee acts like James Cotton and Lonnie Brooks, and cover varies during the week for lesser-known local acts and open mic nights.
