FitzGerald's - the best music room in Chicago

While a little small and rustic, FitzGerald's consistently has the best music in Chicago. In spite of what the other reviewer said, the bartenders are nice and the covers are reasonable. Best of all, there is good food next door that you can enjoy before you hear all of the great music. The sound system is excellent and the room's acoustics are great, as is the sound man. Come to FitzGerald's for an enjoyable evening of music.

The covers they charge are above and beyond most venues in the Chicago-area. Drinks are strong but bartenders have an atitude. Unless there is a band I really must see that's playing, I won't be back.

I just returned from 18 months in N.Y. It's great to be back 'cause there is nothing there to compare w/Fitzgeralds. The atmosphere, the sound system, the bands, are all top shelf. The people in Manhattan could use a Waco Brothers or Webb Wilder show to help them kick back and enjoy life.
