Jazz rejuvenated
It had felt like ages since Joe Segal closed his legendary Jazz Showcase at the beginning of 2007, saying he’d reopen soon once he found the right location. In June 2008 he finally did, reviving his club—which has existed in various locations for more than 60 years—in a warm, welcoming spot in the South Loop’s Dearborn Station.
