Great in '08: 10 reasons Chicago rocked
A wail heard around town
Another memorable show hit Schubas less than a month later, when New York buzz band Yeasayer played two sets with the far less impressive (on stage, at least) hipsters of MGMT. Yeasayer’s world music-influenced rock swayed and yelled, grooved and excited. Singer Chris Keating howled like it might be his last chance to do so; Luckily for Chicago, the band returned a few more times this year, at spots ranging from Bottom Lounge to Grant Park for Lollapalooza.
