UIC Pavilion

- Neighborhood: Little Italy/University Village

The University of Illinois at Chicago Pavilion, five minutes west of downtown just off the Eisenhower Expressway (Interstate 290), can seat up to a maximum of 10,000 people, depending on the event. So it is relatively cozy, as stadiums go; there are just two levels to ensure good sightlines. Acoustics are about average for a stadium. Community and university graduations, conferences, religious meetings, sporting events (UIC Flames basketball and hockey, as well as professional exhibitions such as the United States vs. Russia women's basketball), and rock and Latino music concerts are held here. Occasionally, television shows ("Live--With Regis and Kathie Lee") are taped here during Chicago visits.
