Musical alter egos: from Sgt. Pepper to Slim Shady to Sasha Fierce

Sean Tillmann, a.k.a. Har Mar Superstar; Sean Na Na

After his noise-rock band broke up in late-‘90s Minnesota, Sean Tillmann reinvented himself twice. First, he resurfaced as Sean Na Na, an indie singer/songwriter type in the vein of a sunnier Conor Oberst. Less than a year later, Tillmann debuted his Ron Jeremy-esque, sexed-up (and rather grotesque) rapper/singer alter ego, Har Mar Superstar. Both personalities have remained active, with Sean Na Na putting out an album last year, and Har Mar actively touring with names as big as the Red Hot Chili Peppers in recent years.
