Brown Rice
- Neighborhood: Albany Park
- 4432 N. Kedzie Ave.
- Chicago, IL 60625

Located in the former Candlestick Maker space, this Albany Park spot serves as a cozy, low-key performance venue for a variety of jazz, world and experimental music, plus the occasional dance performance or movie screening. With chocolate brown walls, artwork from the Far East and a capacity of approximately 30, Brown Rice--which began hosting shows in February 2008--aims to serve as a warm, intimate place for different communities to come together. And what's up with the name, you ask? It comes from the 1975 album by trumpeter Don Cherry.
