I can tell right away that this is the work of a corporate giant cranking out "hits". Boring. La - Dee - Da. She teams up with people who have real credibility (Ol Dirty B, Damian Marley), but never seems to keep any for herself. She needs to hang out with the Olsen Twins, they've got it going on, right? These "Divas" re-invent themselves every couple of years with the intention of picking up where their last album / tour left off, co-opting along the way whatever current musical trends are "popping" which can give them the always-allusive "hit". Who cares? Aritha Franklin still has more soul, and Donna Summers is more memorable, than Mrs. Carey. Marrying up to a Sony executive eliminates any worth in saying that what this person does is artistic. She is merely a musical technician with connections. She should learn to play an instrument.
