My girlfriend and I, plus another couple sat front and center for the Sons of the Never Wrong a few weeks back. It was intimate, clean, and the acoustics were amazing. We didn't eat at the venue's restaurant, which I did walk in to. The food I saw looked just fine, and the atmosphere was relaxed and urban. We dined at the Ethiopian restaurant nearby which was excellent. (a near vegetarian, two vegetarians, and i'm vegan) There was also another vegetarian restaurant nearby that we stopped in that had many vegan dishes and baked goods. All in all, space is tots awse and I give it two trees up!!
Report This ReviewA gorgeous, beautiful-sounding room with excellent sound, lighting, and a relaxed yet elegant vibe. The music runs the gamut, but anything they book is probably going to be worth hearing... Folks who remember say it reminds them a lot of Amazing Grace, a legendary music venue that flourished back in the '70's. That may be, but this place is totally up to date in every way- a world-class music venue in Evanston.
Report This ReviewEvanston SPACE is a new venue just north of Chicago, situated in the heart of downtown Evanston. Connected to Union Pizzeria, SPACE is a pretty neat place to catch a live show with friends and enjoy a slice of pizza before or after. Music, dance, arts, movies, or even business meetings or a set in the recording studio, it proves to be a versatile and promising venue for Evanston.
Report This ReviewHoused behind the Union Pizzeria, Space is a brand new music venue hosting anything from jazz groups to indie rock. Space is modern, clean, and bringing in some great acts. Space may be the only true music venue in town but it does not rest on its laurels. I definitely recommend it.
