Only a stone's throw from the raucous nightlife at Wicker Park's North-Damen-Milwaukee intersection lies a friendly spot where bombastic rock is replaced by lounge and cabaret. Everything inside is swank: from the blue velvet walls and recessed lighting to the single-malt Scotches and pricey champagne. The front room serves as a piano bar where servers and patrons alike are liable to break into song. Such outbursts would be pooh-poohed in the cabaret room, where marquee names hold court six nights a week. The 50-plus seats frequently fill up -- especially on weekends. Reservations are encouraged for the cabaret along with a two-drink minimum - though the front piano room has no such charge.
