Hey, Chicago bands!
Forget Barack, Hillary and John. This is the contest you really care about: Our fifth annual Rock ‘n’ Vote contest, and Chicago music fans will soon get to show their support for this year’s top candidates in the local music scene. Which means big-time exposure for the best local artists.
So we want to hear what you’ve got, whether you’re an all-girl punk band, underground rappers, singer-songwriters, a mix of jazz and metal, or anything else you can throw at us. Just send us your demo. We’ll pick 10 favorites, and then metromix readers will listen to the finalists and vote on their faves. The top four acts will headline a free concert April 30 at Double Door.
