Man way to much full frontal for any movie. It was okay. It did follow the story, and the special effects were good; but too much I really didn't need to see that much of Dr. Manhattan.

I know I am not a dude but this movie is so overhyped although it will probably still make a zillion dollars. Warner Bros was smart to screen it for all the Watchmen fanboys first and then critics only a couple days before because the reviews (including this one) have been less than favorable. Maybe Christopher Nolan should have directed it. Count me out!

This will either be the best Comic/Graphic Novel adaption brought to the screen, or one of the most disappointing. There is a large fan-base for the film, but in many cases it has either been dormant for years or it is new after reading the book after seeing movie previews. Because this coming to the screen without having been reinvented countless times on TV, cartoons, or previous film attempts, Watchmen will subject to the taste of comic Puritans... and the filmmakers are quite aware of this. Because the Watchmen is not embedded into popular culture such as Batman, Spider-Man, or X-Men, many will come to see this movie being a blank slate. One thing is for sure - DO NOT BRING YOUNG CHILDREN TO SEE THIS MOVIE WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT TO EXPECT!
