I just finished watching Day Watch and first of all I had no idea that it was a foreign film. It was difficult to get into a movie that started with no background information. I assumed that the movie would explain itself, but instede, I found myself infering and deducting all the way through in order to understand it. I agree with the article that the effects were interesting (although I thought I was watching the Matrix many times) the story was less than perfect. So as my first introduction to this trilogy I will have to pass viewing the other 2 movies, especially if they are as long as this one! G
