"12 Angry Men" (1957)
After holding his ground in the face of 11 jurors who disagree with him, Juror #8 (Henry Fonda) finally persuades everyone in the room to find the young boy accused of murder not guilty. A rousing end to a movie about truth, justice and standing up for what you believe that, without any actions sequences at all, finds plenty of tension and excitement in the heated art of debate.
Possible sequel: Another trial, 11 new misguided jurors and just one (Jason Wahler of “The Hills”) who’s willing to make his own case. One catch: The verdict isn’t determined by discussion but by a series of deadly obstacle courses and convoluted metal booby traps. Title: “Saw XII.”
