IMAX Theater at Navy Pier
- Neighborhood: Streeterville
- 600 E. Grand Ave.
- Chicago, IL 60611
- 312-595-5629
This is Chicago's biggest movie screen -- 6 stories high, 60 feet tall and 80 feet wide. And the regular feature movies are in 3-D! We're not talking those 3-D flicks where you have to wear paper glasses with red and blue lenses. To help its viewers see movies in three dimensions, the IMAX Theater gives viewers headsets with liquid crystal lenses. The sets also have a built-in "Personal Sound Environment Digital Sound" system to enhance the aural experience. It's operated by IMAX Corporation.
