Hugh Jackman returns as Logan a/k/a Wolverine, everyone's favorite tough-guy mutant, in this prequel to the X-Men movie series and his character's origins story. See it for the character, Jackman's performance, the plentiful and exciting action sequences, and the cool mutant powers. It would be too exhausting to catalog all the great special effects and stunt work, but special mention must be made of Wolverine's retractable claws. Liev Schreiber makes a welcome entry into the franchise as Victor a/k/a Sabretooth. I don't know if another Wolverine/Sabretooth match-up is in the works, but if it was to re-team Jackman and Schreiber, then I really hope so. 3 stars out of 4

What was Liev Schreiber thinking taking this movie. He was amazing in Defiance and seems too talented for a summer action flick. My general movie rule: Walk out after the third false ending.
